Post Op Care
Do's and Don'ts
- Do not rub your eye for at least 8 weeks
- You may bend and resume most normal activities immediately
- Shower after 24 hours but avoid having the water run directly at your face
- Wait 6-8 weeks before swimming with your head under water or going water-skiiing
If you vision suddenly worsens, you need to come in to the office immediately or go to Hotel Dieu Emergency if we are closed.
Eye Drop Instructions
- Tobradex
4 drops daily for one week
Reduce to 3 drops daily for the second week
2 drops daily for the third week
1 drop daily for the fourth week
- Voltaren
Use along with the Tobradex drops. However, the Voltaren drops are used 4 times daily for an entire month.
